Exploring Key Decisive Factors in Manufacturing Strategies in the Adoption of Industry 4.0 by Using the Fuzzy DEMATEL Method

Globalization has created a highly competitive and diverse market, an uncertain risky business environment, changing customer expectations. An effective manufacturing strategy reduces complexity provides organizations with well-organized structure. However, existing research on strategies appears scattered, lacking systematic understanding finding no causal relationship between strategies’ outputs (MSOs) their importance. Therefore, this study is pioneer in identifying the influential factors of MSOs adoption Industry 4.0 (I4.0) technologies utilizing decision-making trial evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) approach. This method considered for cause-effect complex problems. It evaluates interdependent relationships among MSO from perspective academic industry experts. Identifying cause effect leads to increasing market’s competitiveness prioritizing them. To deal vagueness human beings’ perceptions, utilizes fuzzy set theory DEMATEL form structural model. Results show that satisfaction, cost per unit produced, number advanced features are main influencing MSOs.
